Prior to being the Director of Student Affairs, Brittni served as a Kappa Delta Pi Chapter Counselor (a position she still holds), an Assistant Professor of Practice for two years at the Relay Washington, DC Campus, and two years at the Relay Newark campus before that. Before joining the Relay community as faculty, Brittni was a founding first-grade teacher at Uncommon Schools' North Star Academy through Teach for America. It was there she learned and loved supporting students and the teachers on her team. While at North Star, Brittni strengthened her teaching skills by attending and receiving her Master of Arts in Teaching at Relay GSE - Newark Campus. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University while also studying Special Education as a minor.
Over the years, Brittni has spent most of her time dedicating her work to identifying the best ways to support others while considering their mental health and wellness. So much so that she even launched a platform (1 Imperfect Mom) for moms who have struggled with postpartum depression and anxiety as she did. She is passionate about growing into a better person to provide the best support to the teachers who serve our excellent PK-12 students and the moms of our future generations.
