In addition to her Olympic success, Deedee was the NCAA champion, SEC champion, regional champion and record holder during her years at the University of Tennessee. As a result of her collegiate success, Deedee became the first female athlete in any sport to turn professional before completing four years of sports eligibility. She also became the first athlete (male or female) to finish their degree on time after turning professional.
Outside of sport, Deedee has been extremely dedicated to the community. Deedee is the founder of the nonprofit organization Test Me I’m Clean and her current nonprofit Running For The People; an organization dedicated to helping others in need.
Professionally, Deedee is an international motivational speaker, and an expert in excellence training. She is the CEO of Deedee Trotter LLC, which houses not only her professional speaking, but also her summer youth training clinics entitled, “Trotter Speed Clinics”. She is also the owner of the trademark “I Can. I Must. I Will!”
